The trek into the night with a bus load of strangers in search of the mystical phenomenon "Aurora Borealis" was unlike any other trip I've been on. In -25 degree weather in a rickety white bus, we piled into, beginning as strangers and leaving as something more. At first it did not seem we would find any colours spreading across the night sky, but as the wind shifted, clouds parted, hints of colours were seen, and the magical night revealed itself. This little painting session happened later, in the warmth of the hotel room.
