Dawson Creek
I moved to Northern BC upon graduating from university, for my first real job. Dawson Creek, British Columbia, was the closest "big town" to where I lived. This is where I had my first ever, solo gallery art show back in 2003, and others. These were my stomping grounds back then. Rich with memories and days lived and loved.
It feels a little surreal being back here, having moved back east in 2009. Unfortunately the Dawson Creek Art Gallery (which is really cool as it is built inside a refurbished grain elevator) was closed the weekend I drove through, but I enjoyed this full circle moment nonetheless.
It is also Mile 0 of the Alaskan Highway.
And no, not the place where the TV show was made…
